A love of traditional creativity but can Gen AI augment?

I am always intrigued by creativity and what can drive a person to be creative. Is it motivation, that innate drive to experiment and produce a creative output. I do have a love of traditional arts, painting, the touch of paper, movement of paint, and can how it can look a little more unique and totally original. But as the years have evolved I am highly interested in how digital arts can allow a new means of expression through moving images, experimental mark making with graphics tablets, computing creativity. Then recently with the developments in Generative AI, this offers new means again for creativity. Boden's work is very interesting in her exploration of creativity.  Human creativity unique to an individual, this can be challenge for AI.  Boden defines creativity as “novel, surprising and valuable ideas” (Livingston, 2011).  Boden (2009) raises many interesting concepts surrounding creativity including; use of unfamiliar combinations of familiar ideas; exploration of conceptual spaces in a person’s mind and how to transform those spaces with creative thinking. AI has potential to generate new ideas, combined ideas, but would they be as interesting? So this led me to explore the potential of Generative AI with image based generation. My focus was if it could augment, challenge new ways of expression.
